Company History
Everwear, Inc.
Everwear, Inc. was founded in 1983 to fill a gap. Our founder, Tom Wood, noticed equipment manufacturers outsourcing knife and anvil production to subcontractors who lacked a working knowledge of specialty metals. They did not have the ability to make cutters with the newest materials that would enable knives to last longer. Thus, a gap existed for the end user and Everwear was conceived.
Tom used his 18 years of experience in the specialty steel industry to redesign and manufacture industrial knives and anvils that could outperform the original parts. This enabled cut stations to perform at higher speeds while getting more cuts per knife edge. This translated into less machine downtime for maintenance and higher productivity and efficiency.
Since Tom's retirement in 2007, sons-in-law Rodney Moulin and Brian Turner have taken over the reins. Business has expanded in subsequent years to include not only knives and anvils but the entire cutting module. Everwear's engineering department designs and reengineers industrial cutting stations worldwide.
All design, manufacturing, sales and customer service operations are located in our headquarters in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, USA.
